Ron Marasco

Ron Marasco,

Ron lives in Panama City Beach and is an evening weekday anchor at WJHG. He moved to the Panhandle in 2014 replacing the late Joe Moore.

He was born in Anaheim, Ca. and raised in Orange County (Southern California.) He received his bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from California State University, Fullerton and his Master of Science degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Iowa State University.

Ron worked at the Orange County Register and the Honolulu Advertiser newspapers before moving on to broadcasting with KLEW (CBS) in Lewiston, ID; WOI in Des Moines, IA; and now WJHG. He produced and anchored a sports show for Comcast Cable in Southern California while attending college.

Ron loves to workout, watch westerns, play sports, and travel.

Ron is a proud member of the Human Rights Campaign and advocates for LGBTQ rights as much as he can. He walked in the Equality March in Washington D.C. in June 2017.
